Due to recent Windows updates, there is a known issue with Realtek card users who cannot hear sound properly. If you notice you have to look in the direction of the sound in order to hear it - this fix is for you.
Note: You will have to conduct these changes on your own in order for this to work.
STEP ONE
- Navigate to your speaker icon at the bottom right of your screen, and RIGHT-CLICK the icon.
- Now LEFT-CLICK on "Sound Settings."
STEP TWO
- Now that you're on System > Sound, scroll down to "More sound settings." Left click and open.
STEP THREE
- Scroll down to see your speakers that you are actively using (notice the "Green" check mark).
- Now click your Speakers to select it.
- Now click the Properties tab on that same window.
STEP FOUR
- Now uncheck (by left clicking the box) Disable all sound effects.
- Second picture shows a secondary Windows configuration if it looks different.

- Uncheck Enable audio enhancements so that it becomes disabled.
- Note: You may need to turn off / deactivate "Spatial Sound" as well.
